Day 5

Laurel Lake is fed by the Peconic River and is an incredibly serene area. You can fish around the perimeter or rent a small boat, but be ready to carry it as the lake is only accessible by foot. This spot is great for early morning and dusk fishing.

Greenport has a rich maritime history by grace of its unusually deep water ports which made it an ideal stop for international whaling ships. Today, the waters teem with fluke, flounder and bass as well as offer a variety of shellfish including mussels, clams and scallops.
