September 23-28, 2025

Bethpage Black Course at Bethpage State Park

99 Quaker Meeting House Road,

Farmingdale, NY 11735

This infamous course, home of the U.S. Open Championship in 2002 and 2009, was one of the last golf courses designed by master architect A.W. Tillinghast. The narrow fairways, high roughs, well-placed bunkers, and small greens help to make this an extremely difficult course.

Ryder Cup Format

The first two days of the 2025 Ryder Cup will consist of one four-match session of four-ball and one four-match session of foursomes. Four-ball is when two-person teams each play their own ball to create four balls in play at each hole. Foursomes are when two-person teams alternate turns in playing one ball per hole.

The final day of the Ryder Cup will consist of 12 singles matches.

Points Scoring

Each match in the Ryder Cup is worth one point. Matches ending in a tie are worth a half point to each side. Whichever team reaches 14 and a half points wins the entire Ryder Cup. If a 14-14 tie were to occur, the winners of the previous Ryder Cup will continue to hold the title of champions.
